Chicago White Sox 2005 World Series Champions

On this site I'll include everything I know about my favorite team. I'll write game reports for individual games, offer interesting stats, and keep you up to date on our championship bid for a repeat in 2006.

Welcome to the Chicago White Sox fans home page and photo collection.

I have been a fan of the Chicago White Sox for over 30yrs and it was such a great feeling to be able to wittness them winning the world series of 2005 and watching them go from underdog to top dog.

I might also use this page to discuss how my team is doing this year in general, or about the prospects for the upcoming year. I'll try to include a few pictures, too.

White Sox acquire Mackowiak from Pittsburgh for Marte

PITTSBURGH (AP) -- The Chicago White Sox acquired utilityman Rob Mackowiak from the Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday for left-handed reliever Damaso Marte.

The deal was pending physicals, according to a baseball official who spoke on condition of anonymity because the trade had not been finalized yet.

Mackowiak gives the World Series champions a solid, left-handed bat on the bench. He also can provide insurance at third base behind Joe Crede and help replace Aaron Rowand in the outfield
